I first want to start by saying thank you for taking time to visit my page. 

My name is Rickie Angel, and I am a licensed professional Hair and Makeup Artist and certified cosmetology instructor with over 18 years of experience in the industry. I’m a Los Angeles native who grew up in the small city of Pico Rivera.

I earned my A.A. degree in Cosmetology from Cerritos College, where the importance of cleanliness and taking pride in my workspace was instilled in me early on. I admired the dedication of my instructors, who committed to teaching me more than just the curriculum—they helped me hone my skills and challenged my creativity. It was during this time that my passion for education truly began.

I later went on to receive my A.S. degree in Instructional Techniques from Fullerton College, further expanding my foundation as both an artist and educator. Communication has always been an important part of my work, but this training deepened my awareness—especially in understanding the diverse backgrounds and experiences each client or student may bring. It reinforced the importance of being thoughtful and intentional with my words, choosing language that feels respectful, inclusive, and empowering, while creating a space where each person feels truly seen.

At the heart of it all, I absolutely LOVE hair and makeup! I’m passionate about creating clean, beautiful, relatable looks that feel true to you—whether it’s for everyday wear, on camera, or a special moment. To me, makeup is a tool for expression, not perfection. It should feel approachable, personalized, and something you can confidently make your own.

My goal is that every person I work with walks away not only looking their best, but feeling empowered—with a few tips, techniques, and educational moments they can carry with them long after our time together. I hope that after spending some time here on my page, you feel inspired to connect further—whether on a project or as your educator and mentor. I can’t wait to create with you.
