The best CC creams for mature skin, according to professional makeup artists
According to CNN hair and makeup artist Rickie Angel Bocanegra, CC creams are “intended to balance and correct unwanted discoloration such as redness, dullness or hyperpigmented skin and often include SPF protection.” Unlike foundations, they’re meant to color correct rather than provide full coverage — although some are buildable. They tend to be lighter and more breathable for that reason, even compared to foundations like the Jones Road What the Foundation (my current go-to) that promise a skinlike finish.
